The Stonebridge Cup concluded today with 20 singles
matches. The Stonebridge team came into today with a slim 1 point
lead. The Ranch team came out of the gates fast and won 5 of the
first 7 matches and looked like they would claim the Cup for the 6th
year in a row. The Stonebridge team won the next 3 matches to put an
end to the fast start and the 5 year streak. Craig Lewinter got the
winning point by finishing birdie-par to win his match 1 up. The
final tally came to 20 1/2 to 19 1/2.
The Stonebridge Cup began
in 1989 and the series is now stands tied at 11 wins for each side.
