Stonebridge Ranch Hills Course Committee

Attendees:

Meeting Place:

The committee met at the Dye Course conference room with Steve calling the meeting to order at 6:00pm.

Introductions:

A quick around the table introductions made to ensure everyone new each other

Meeting Minutes:

The minutes from March committee meeting approved

Renovations:

Renovations to Hills Patio approved…worked to begin later this summer

Will take 6 – 8 weeks to complete

Discussion Points:

1.      Matt Mitchell reported new food/beverage lead coming soon to the Hills course

2.      Matt Mitchell reported driving range improvements at Hills course coming in May

3.      Matt Mitchell reported on the rounds of golf YTD through Period 4 (up to April 19th) vs. Plan and 2010.  Member rounds were 10,073 as compared to Plan of 8,395 and ’10 of 7,329 which translates to 20% over 2011 Plan and 37.4% increase from a year ago.    Guest rounds were also up 30.9% against 2011 Plan and 62.9% up from ’10.  Total Rounds were 11,546 as compared to 2011 Plan of 9,677 and ’10 of 8,216 which translates to 19.3% over Plan and 40.5% increase from a year ago.

4.      Robey Canaday reported on course maintenance:

a.      The course mowing will be completed this week and then maintain weekly

b.      Poanna dead spots plugged out  of greens

c.       Sodding face around green on #2, #18, #21, #23

d.      Sodding cart path edges where needed

e.      Bunkers on back nine complete along with a couple other holes on front 18

f.        Fairways look to be in great shape

g.      Tree on #3 tee box to be replaced

5.      Steve Szewczyk reports that there are many new members so make sure we are all greeting them when we have a chance

6.      Steve Szewczyk reports there is a new committee being formed for social golf, tournaments, open to everyone, and being lead by Justin Bell-Isle

NEW BUSINESS:

Educate your group about golf etiquette – Send out announcements within your individual groups reminding them to take care of the course and help make sure others are doing the same.  We all should take pride in our course and help maintain it as if we own it.  Fill divots in even it they are not yours.

Continue to promote members to post their scores on time!
